how do I tell if a CD/DVD player is compatible with my car?
I have put in a order for an 08 dodge charger and I want to order a Boss Audio BV9960
In-dash DVD/MP3/CD receiver with motorized flip out 7" TFT wide touchscreen.
How can I tell if it is going to be compatible with my car?
Just make sure the screen will have enough room to tilt back enough to view, without the dash getting in the way. Other wise find out if the deck opening is a double din, if so than you have the option to get a 6.5" non-flip out unit, for a cleaner looking install. One thing you can do is go to crutchfield.com and do a search with your year and model to see what kind of head units fit, but becarefull some times it will mislead you saying a unit wont fit when all you need to do is cut out a piece of plastic in the back of your opening. Also I can tell you ebay is an awesome place to buy Car Audio, there are much better brands than Boss for rediculously low prices due to the fast moving technology for those kind of head units.
