What is a great Car Seat to use in my 1999GMC JIMMY?
Does anyone out there have a Jimmy, The seats tip downward a little and this makes most car seats unstable. I have to upgrade my sons infant carrier, to a bigger seat and, I want it to be safe and comfortable. I have heard mixed reviews about the alpha omega, and the britax has great ratings but they are so expensive, are they worth the cost, or can I get something just as safe for less. My truck does not have a latch system. Some tips and Ideas would be great. Thanks alot.
Hi there. I don't have the same vehicle as you, but if you are interested in the safety of Britax for less money, the Fisher Price Safe Voyage convertible carseat is made by Britax but about half the price. I did TONS of research before buying my son's carseat and this was the best option for me. I wanted to buy Britax but couldn't afford $300. I then found out about this Fisher Price seat. We go on long car trips and I can tell my son is way more comfortable than he was in his infant car seat. And you can install it with our without latch! Best of Luck!
PS I got ours at albeebaby for $129.99 with FREE shipping! I couldn't even find one that inexpensive on ebay (they retail at Target for around $180 I think)
