How can I get my tv to work in the car?

I plugged my tv into the Car Outlet that is a converter where phone chargers go, and when I hit power it turns on for 1 sec, then off what do I do?

Most likely the problem is that the power inverter is being overloaded by the amperage draw of the TV.

Cell phone chargers do not draw much power, but TVs will. To use a TV in the car, you will need an inverter that is rated for the amperage draw needed. You may also have to direct wire the inverter, as the power requirements may be more than can be handled through the cigarette lighter.
