Is it possible for a CD to break the CD player that it's being played in?
I bought the "Gym Class Heroes" CD several moths ago, and it played fine in my cars 6 CD changer. However, I eventualy put it away in the visor cd holder above the drivers seat. About a month later, I put the CD back into the cd player, but the songs at the end kept skipping, followed by some very strage noises coming from the CD changer.
After the noise from the CD player, the screen indicated that there were only 5 CD's in the changer, even though just moments ago there were 6 (none had been ejected).
About 2 weeks later, the "GCH" CD was ejected from the sixth slot of the changer, although none of the other CD's would eject. I still though that the CD player breaking was unrelated to the CD's until i put "GCH" into my laptop to add it to my itunes. The same exact noise from the cd player ws being made, and the CD was not being read or ejected from the computer. It froze the computer for about 2 minutes before it was ejected. Is the CD the problem?
Sounds very strange! All I can think of is the disc may be slightly warped, which in turn is spinning out of sync, and causing damage inside?
