Can I install xenon fog lights without an HID conversion?
I looked up some things on hi def headlights and fogs and came across something called an HID conversion kit. It's fairly expensive and if you need it to have xenon brightness lights in your car then I'll pass, but I also heard that you don't need the HID conversion. I was told that I can just buy hi def lights for my car and they will still work regardless. Is this true?
You can't just swap the bulbs on a halogen setup and expect it to look like a real xenon lighting system. At best you can use "whiter" halogen looking bulbs. To convert to a real xenon/hid setup you'll need the whole conversion kit including things like ballasts.
