Clutch Brake Pedal
Clutch Brake Pedal
Why shouldn't you use your left foot for the brake pedal?
I know it is needed for the clutch on a manual but this question is referring to automatics.
you should always use one foot to drive an automatic. Reasons:
1) when you freak out, most amateur drivers will lay on the pedals their feet are hovering over. You wouldn't want to do that to both the brake and the accelerator, really not good especially in the rain.
2) the most common reason is that it gets confusing because with two feet you may confuse the functions which eat foot controls. Thus 1 foot operation of both pedals is preferable.
3) in manual driving there is a technique called foot-toe shifting used by pro drivers in races where the right foot is layed over both the brake and accelerator pedals while the left is solely dedicated to the clutch.
Basically its a safety issue, take it easy while driving.
