I have a ford expedition , and my car inside lights won't trun off?

I checked all doors are closed , everything is turned , my car inside lights wont turn off , whats wrong . I'm at work & i'm afraid my batteries will die soon if it doent go off.

First, make sure your dimmer switch is not turned all the way. This will turn on the dome light.

Second, Open each door and look for the door jam switch. One may have been pushed in and no longer contacts the door.

If neither of these seem to be the problem, get it looked at by a mechanic.

On the same note, It would take 24 - 48 hours to drain your battery because the dome light requires very little power. Also, your ford is equipped with a battery saver module. If the voltage drops too low it will cut power to all accessories... leaving just enough power to start your vehicle. Once your engine is running, your Alternator will charge the batteries and your batter saver module will once again power the accessory circuit.
