Instrument Gauge Voltage
Instrument Gauge Voltage
What voltage should expect that the dashboard of my 1990 5.7L Chevy G20 van?
More specifically, the temperature gauge. I just installed a new version of the engine, radiator, sensors, water pump, hoses and the thermostat of the third had a hole punched in it to expel trapped air. The cooling system has been well and truly purged of air. Although the engine does not seem to be very hot, the temperature gauge, however, is always up to the red before falling to normal after rising again while driving in all conditions or road. It folds always normal when I stop at a red light or an intersection, etc. The meter does not pass the halfway mark by scoring more because no matter for how time. I was advised to test the gauge, sender and tension both on the scoreboard. An electrician from the automobile is come tomorrow to try, but has no experience with American cars. Can you suggest what might cause these symptoms? Thank you.
The voltage amperage varies. We need a Chilton manual. They provide the operating range of electrical work. Each gauge read what the sensor is supposed send.
