Just did a tuneup spark plugs and wires for 2001 ford mustang and it is backfiring did a wire at a time?

ive checked everything the firing order the wires the plugs everything is fine but it is still backfiring what could it be and how do you tell exactly how to put the wires on the coil it shows a diagram of the motor and the front but the coil doesnt show the front so how do i make sure its correct on coil

You've gotten two wires crossed, so either do as he suggests or write down the firing order, chase every wire from coil to cylinder to make sure they aren't crossed at the head, which can be done just as easily, and then restart the vehicle.. if it still backfires then check to make sure every sparkplug wire is fully installed by pushing each one down to make sure its seated into position.
