How do I fix the gas pedal on my 1994 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 so it isnt stiff when i start to accelerate?
I have a 1994 Silverado z71 with a 5.7 v8 and when I first start to accelerate the gas pedal is really stiff and hard to push and what happens is it gets past the stiff part and I end up launching the car as if in the start of a race. This stiffness is only the first half inch or so, the rest is normal. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this annoying problem?
Your throttle cable has a kink in.I had the exact same problem with my full size blazer. It was almost like the gas peddle was an on/off switch. Just go to the auto parts store and get you a new one and it is pretty easy to replace.
