69 Plymouth Satellite, GTX, and Road Runner?
Do these cars all have the same body?
Belvedere, Satellite, Road Runner and GTX were all the same body style.
Belvedere was the base model. Satellite was the next step up. Sport Satellites were Satellites with the premium trim package. All of these cars came with engines up to a 383. They were also offered as a Station Wagon. Satellites and SpSatellites were offered in Convertibles.
Roadrunner was a the lowest trim package, but could be had with the biggest engines (440, 426) as well as the smaller ones. These were marketed as bare-bones Performance Cars for the average Joe. This was the first year Roadrunner came in convertible. Roadrunner had same grille as satellite and Belvedere.
GTX's were offered with only 440's and 426 Hemi's. These were considered the Gentleman's MuscleCar. The GTX had the same trim package as Sport Satellites Plus the big engine, the stripes and GTX emblems. They also had a 150mpg speedometer and tach. GTX had a different grille and finish panel (On trunk lid), shared only with sport satellites, except it had the GTX emblems.
