What causes the toilet (no tank) water level decrease?
During the last month, my toilet bowl (no deposit) the water level began to decline. It is well after washing, but 5 minutes is a minimum. I tried (for lack of other ideas) replace the whole tank, but that does not happen. I read the most likely problem is a clogged vent line on the ceiling. How I can verify this? Also, I fear that this could be the mark of soils. He is sitting on a finished basement and I have not seen water stains on the ceiling though. Any help is thank you.
Most likely a clogged vent. The vent allows air into the drain pipe for water and traveling across the line not to create suction. The suction to remove water from their traps and toilets for P gas and odors sewage to enter the house. Aspiration You also were able to maintain free-flowing lines. One way you can see, and maybe the problem is on the roof with a water hose. Multan at the top of the vent must be 2 "or 3" ABS pipe Sicking of the roof. Glue the pipe into the top of the tube and the key to the water. If the water fills up and begins to emerge from the top, then you have an obstruction. It is likely the weight of the water remove any obstruction that could have and resolve the problem. If not solved the problem then run a snake through the system ventilation and cleaning up. Some common causes of a blocked vent, leaves or pine needles fall in the top of the vent and rodents or birds in their nests. It happens and it seems that what we have here. If this is not the vent: an obstruction in the line may cause some times, but through the lock allows the filling of the water and creates a siphon. If this were the case, I would have expected to mention the toilet did not. If the winds (or water), the vent does not solve the problem after a bath just to make a snake. Hope that helps
