Ideas on a memorial for dead students?

Two students recently died of car accidents at my school. I'm VP of our Environmental Club, and we'd like to do something as a memorial to the dead students (of past, present, and future). I was thinking of doing a plaque, or maybe a decorated bench. We plan on putting it in the natural area behind my school. The memorial has to be changeable (to add names), and it has to be longlasting. Preferably low-cost. Thanks!

I think that one of those big rocks would be kinda neat, but I don't know anything about the cost, however, I'm sure you would have no problem raising the money because people like to give to causes like that. I was pres of student counsil and we held a dance and all of the proceeds went to getting a rock for a student who died last year. we had a great turnout.
