Who makes and energy efficient coffee maker? ?
What is a good quality, reasonably prices (under $60 or so?) energy efficient coffee maker (no heating element / insulated carafe)? We don't need any fancy features, it just has to put the water thru the grounds. I want to buy one tonight and don't have time to do a lot of research.
A french press does not use power, but you still need to boil the water somehow.
The smaller the coffee maker, the less power it will consume, as it only has to heat up the amount of water you plan to drink. Just make sure you don't keep the warming pad on.
You can always make cowboy coffee, basically a coffeepot with no filter or grounds separator (actually, uses gravity to keep the grounds down).
